Antique walnut card table that doubles up as a side table when not in use. The top which is burr walnut with a carved edge, opens up to reveal a baize lined playing surface. This is supported by the back legs which pulls out & also has a secret drawer. There is also some good carvings on the legs & feet. It's in good condition & has a lovely original colour. The baize is okay, but does show signs of use, so could be redone if so required. I would say it dates to around the 1920's period.
This stylish card table has a fabulous & unusual shape. It also has a wonderful colour. I'm not 100% sure about the wood, but it looks like a form of walnut & burr maple. The top & front edge which has curved cut outs, spins around & opens up to reveal a baize lined playing surface, under which is a storage area for cards, etc. It sits on fluted legs, with decorative appliqués at the top & carved feet. I believe this table was made in the 1920-30's period & it's in excellent original condition.
