This antique leather 2 seater sofa is really comfortable & has lots of character. The show wood on the arms is carved mahogany & there is more wood along the base, with bun feet below that, plus metal casters under those. The leather is in great shape & has hand tacking around the edges. I would say it's been recovered more recently, but this is how I obtained it. I've never come across a model like this, because they are normally all leather without the show wood. This sofa is very cosy with a wonderful shape & I would date it to around the 1890-1910 period. The seat is by no means hard, but very springy which I think makes it very comfortable. The webs underneath are fine. If you are looking for something with a hard seat, then this is not for you, unless you wish to re-spring it, but personally I think it's nice as is.

This chesterfield sofa is a real character piece & extremely comfortable too. Some of these models with the buttoned seats can be very hard to sit on, but this one is just right. The leather is in very good original condition & is naturally distresed, with a wonderful colour. I can't see any splits, only natural old markings. It's hand studded & sits on bun feet. Please do not confuse this chesterfield with all the mass produced ones out there. This one was hand made & hand coloured. I would say it's about 50-60 years old & it's one of the nicest ones I've come across.

This reddish brown leather chesterfield sofa has a great look, fabulous colour & is a wonderful character piece. It has a deep buttoned back & arms with 3 feather filled cushions. It's also hand tacked & has bun feet on the front. This sofa is not antique in the true sense, but does have some age, probably about 60 years old or more. It's really good quality & in lovely original condition with some natural fading to the leather which only help add to the overall character. The leather has been revived & polished by an expert leather polisher.

This leather chesterfield sofa is superb quality, with a great look, fabulous original colour & loads of character. It has a deep buttoned back & arms with 3 feather filled cushions. It's also hand tacked & has bun feet on the front. The back is also sprung & you can feel the horse hair if you press down hard on the leather. This sofa is not antique in the true sense, but does have some age, probably about 60-80 years old or more. It's really good quality & in lovely original condition throughout with obvious old markings to the leather which only help add to the overall character. The leather has been revived & polished by an expert leather polisher. This distressed look is totally natural & not something one can manufacture. Please don't confuse this piece with the pre-dyed foam ones that are everywhere.
