Set of 6 antique Edwardian mahogany dining chairs in good original condition. The curved backs have a wheat-sheaf design in the middle with some other patterns on the bars. These chairs are also well constructed with cross stretchers keeping the legs tight. I had the drop in seats recovered with calico & to recover again would only cost about £10-£15 each.
Nice quality set of 8 mahogany dining chairs, antique Georgian style, that include 2 carvers. They have shield backs that are well carved, incorporating the 'Prince of Wales Feathers'. The drop in seats are covered in calico & they have tapered spade end legs, joined by 'H' stretchers, which help give the chairs extra strength. These chairs have just been French Polished, so they are in good condition & I would say they date from around the 1930-50's period.
