Large Antique Victorian Inlaid Rosewood Wardrobe

Antique Victorian wardrobe, with a rosewood front section that's beautifully inlaid all over & mahogany sides. It's a most useful piece of furniture, due to the combination of hanging cupboards, mirrors, drawers & a storage cupboard. The inlay is particularly beautiful, as is the grain of the rosewood & the interesting panelling. This wardrobe does break down into smaller sections for easier transport. It has been polished & restored, with the original character being mantained, so there will be the usual indentations, marks. etc, in certain places. I believe the handles are original too & the original mirrors have bevelled edges. There is an original locking contraption to one of the drawers, with a rod that goes from the cupboard into the side of the drawer (see image). I would say this wardrobe dates to around the 1880 period.

Antique William 1V Rosewood Card Table

This antique William 1V rosewood card table is a really nice sample of it's kind & totally original. The top spins around & folds over to reveal a large playing surface, that has recently been rebaized. Underneath, is a storage area, designed for playing cards. Beneath that is a very impressive turned & fluted collumn, that sits on a shaped platform base. Under the base are four turned bun feet that have semi concealed casters. This card table is in lovely original condition & dates from around the 1830-40 period. These days it's quite hard to find one with no splits or warps.

Pair of Inlaid Rosewood Plant Holders with High Decorative Backs

Very unusual, stylish pair of plant troughs with high decorative backs & lighting attachments inside. The boxes are veneered in Rosewood with Brass inlay, and the high backs are brass inlaid mahogany. They date from around the 1950-60's, and are in pretty good condition for their age. There are a few marks here and there, and one or two minor chips to the veneer around the base which you can't see unless you stoop right down and look underneath.

Antique French Style Epstein Rosewood & Marquetry Cabinet

Top quality serpentine fronted cabinet, antique French style, apparently made by 'Epstein' in the 1950's period. This cabinet was designed as a drinks cabinet & there is a light fitting inside, although I haven't tested it to see if it still works, because there's no bulb in it. There are some stunning marquetry panels on the doors, made up of many different woods, while the rest of this piece looks to me like rosewood & possibly something else like perhaps Kingwood. Also, there are other inlays elsewhere. The gilt metal mounts are also of very good quality. This cabinet is in good original condition, structurally sound, with one or two very minor markings, consistent for it's age. Please check all the images to see for yourselves all the features.
