Stylish pair of antique Swedish Satin Birch armchairs in lovely original condition. The wood is a lovely blond colour with an ebonized feature in the middle. They have just come over from Sweden, been gently polished & recovered in a grey linen fabric. These chairs have very generous proportions, with 'Trafalgar' backs, scroll over arms & sabre legs. I would say they date from around the 1890-1910 period. Pairs of 'Empire' style armchairs like these are becoming extremely hard to find & are very sought after.
