Antique Swedish Burr Walnut Wellington Chest of Drawers

Large stunning looking Swedish antique burr walnut Wellington chest, which is also fine quality. It dates from around the 1880's period & is in good condition. I've had quite a few of these in the past & this one is by far the nicest I've had. Please enlarge all the images, because there are many great features. The top & drawer fronts are burr walnut with wonderful veneers. The drawers have fine dovetails & brass handles. There is a locking bar on the right hand side, but we don't have a key & the other upright looks identical. both uprights have some fine carvings, especially near the tops. This chest has an interesting top section & sits on flat turned front bun feet. One thing that's not showing in the images is the 2nd drawer down has a pull down mechanism so you can slide things in & out. This chest is very impressive & fabulous quality, plus the wood has a very warm colour.

Mid-Century Gilt Metal Hatstand

Antique git metal hat/coat stand in the style of an original Thonet Bentwood Hat/Coat Stand. This a very unusual item & must be a designer piece & my guess is that it's possibly Italian. The gilt work is naturally aged & you can see the base metal, which could be iron coming through in places. This piece is just as we acquired it & it doesn't need any renovation. I'm not sure of the exact age. It could be early to mid-20th century. Please enlarge all the images & also be aware that it's much lower in height than the average Thonet Stand.

Pair of Antique Mahogany & Marble Side Tables

It's quite rare to find a pair of console side tables, especially as nice as these & of such good quality. This pair are antique Empire style with original marble tops, which are slightly different but still matching enough. They are solid mahogany & have some great features, so please enlarge all of the images. I'm not sure of their exact age, but would hazard a guess at around the 1890-1910 period. They also have a single drawer on the tops. There is about 1cm difference in width & depth, because these tables are obviously hand made, so I'm giving you the larger table's measurements.

Large Antique Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Desk

Large Victorian mahogany pedestal desk with a tooled leather writing surface & a generously wide kneehole area. It has rounded corners, graduated drawers with antique brass handles, polished panelled backs & sits on plinth bases with concealed casters. This desk is in good condition & dates from around the 1860-80 period. These original Victorian desks of this size are quite hard to find & this one is a nice example.
