Antique Victorian Dutch Marquetry Mahogany Nest of 3 Tables

Rare antique nest of Dutch Marquetry tables in exceptionally good original condition, dating from around the 1840-60's period. They are mahogany, with the marquetry all over the tops, sides & even on the feet. The tables are structurally sound, with no warps or splits & they inter-link nicely. They have bobbin turned legs & stretchers on the backs. The Dutch marquetry is very detailed & all there, so please enlarge all the images to appreciate this. They also have loads of character & a good original colour.

Antique Mahogany Serpentine Fronted Chest of Drawers

This antique serpentine fronted mahogany chest of drawers is superb quality & has a great look. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the fine details. I would date it to around the 1890-1910 period & it's in excellent condition, with good original colour. The top is flame mahogany with cross banding & a caddy top edge. The sides are canted with blind fretwork. There's a brushing slide at the top, below which are four graduated drawers with original brass handles, locks & fine dovetails. This chest which has quite small proportions has a generously shaped serpentine front & sits on bracket feet.

Pair of Antique Mahogany Serpentine Fronted Chests

Matching pair of antique mahogany chests with serpentine shaped fronts, brass handles & splayed feet. It's quite rare to find a pair of chests this size & I think they have been reconstructed or adapted some time ago from some other antique furniture. There is a very slight difference in height, but not noticeable when they are apart from each other. It's hard to estimate the age, because like I said they have probably been adapted from something else old, however the wood used could well be 18th century. the backs are old pine. These chests are in great condition.

Swedish Art Deco Satin Birch Upholstered Sofa

Original Swedish Art Deco sofa, with satin birch arms & legs, dating from around the 1930-50's period. This sofa is very stylish & in great condition. It's just come over from Sweden & has been re-polished & re-upholstered in a taupe coloured fabric. The satin birch is a lovely blond colour, typical of the Art Deco period. These sofas are quite rare. I often have the pairs of matching armchairs, in fact there are probably some on the site right now.
