Antique Victorian wardrobe, with a rosewood front section that's beautifully inlaid all over & mahogany sides. It's a most useful piece of furniture, due to the combination of hanging cupboards, mirrors, drawers & a storage cupboard. The inlay is particularly beautiful, as is the grain of the rosewood & the interesting panelling. This wardrobe does break down into smaller sections for easier transport. It has been polished & restored, with the original character being mantained, so there will be the usual indentations, marks. etc, in certain places. I believe the handles are original too & the original mirrors have bevelled edges. There is an original locking contraption to one of the drawers, with a rod that goes from the cupboard into the side of the drawer (see image). I would say this wardrobe dates to around the 1880 period.
