Antique Victorian solid mahogany writing table with two drawers that still have their original brass handles. It has four strong turned legs that sit on the original brass casters. This table is in good original condition & I would say it dates to around the 1860-80's period.
Nice quality small antique Georgian style knee-hole desk in mahogany with beautiful flame mahogany veneers all over& a crossbanded edge in I think rosewood. It has six drawers, with original brass handles, plus there's a cupboard under the kneehole, with fluted side pieces. The back is polished too & it sits on bracket feet. This is a very neat little desk. I've had similar ones in the past, but not as nice as this one.
This fabulous desk is beautifully made & has a wonderful shape too. It's antique Georgian style, satinwood, with some fine inlay & a hand coloured tooled leather writing surface. This writing table is two sided, so it could be used as a partners desk. There are three drawers on the front, with locks, brass handles & the drawer bottoms are mahogany. These drawers are beautifully made with very fine dovetails. The drawers on the back are dummies. The top edge, the drawer fronts & the sides have some very fine crossbanding & inlay in what I believe is rosewood or satinwood. The legs are tapered & culminate in spade end feet. There are many other fine features, so please enlarge all of the images. At first glance, this writing table looks like high quality Edwardian, but I think it has been made more recently, although it's hard too tell. Either way, it's a one off & in a high class retail establishment in town, would command £4000-£5000.
Good quality antique Georgian style burr walnut desk, with a double serpentine shaped front & a polished burr walnut back. It has a lovely tooled hand coloured leather writing surface, one drawer in the middle & four either side of the knee hole. One of the many good features of this piece is the fact that although this desk is quite small in proportion, it still has a generous knee hole space. The shaped drawers have the original top quality brass handles & the drawers are graduated too. This desk is very sturdy & sits on bracket feet.
