Chests of Drawers

Antique Victorian Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Antique Victorian mahogany chest of drawers in lovely original condition, with a lovely original warm colour. This is definitely one of the better quality versions of this type of chest. It has a solid mahogany top, round corners, mahogany bun handles, original locks on all the drawers & very deep graduated drawers. The bottom drawer actually comes out joined to the plinth, so there is no wasted storage space. There are also flat bun feet at the base. The drawer bottoms are solid mahogany too & the sides are joined with fine dovetails. This chest dates from around the 1860-80 period, so there are naturally various old marks, indentations, etc, so don't expect it to look new, but it is in good condition & structurally sound, with drawers that work.

Antique Georgian Style Burr Walnut Bachelors Chest

This small walnut 'Bachelors Chest' has a lovely mellow colour & is in good original condition, dating to around the 1930-50's period. It's antique Georgian style, with a useful fold over top, which is supported by pull out slides. The top & drawer fronts are a well patterned burr walnut, with the rest being figured walnut. It has original brass handles & bracket feet.

Antique Victorian Mahogany Low Chest of Drawers

Good quality antique Victorian mahogany chest of drawers which is lower than usual. The top is solid mahogany, the drawers are deep, plus the bottom one comes out attached to the plinth, so giving it maximum depth. The drawers also have bun handles & this piece has a good original colour & patina. It also has rounded corners & locks in all the drawers. These lower Victorian models are quite hard to find & I am always being asked for them.

Large Antique Victorian Figured Walnut Chest of Drawers

Large antique Victorian figured walnut chest of drawers with round corners & a solid walnut top. It's in good original condition & has a lovely mellow colour. This is the model with the deep blanket drawer that pulls out with the bottom plinth attached. These chests are really popular, because of the deep drawers & no wasted space. The drawers have turned wooden bun handles, original locks & are finely dovetailed. The back is original too. The grain on the drawer fronts & the patina is beautiful. Please enlarge all the close ups. I would say it dates to around the 1860-80's period. This chest is fabulous quality & has loads of character.
