Wonderful quality antique Mid-Victorian side cabinet. This piece is in good original condition throughout, with all the original gilt metal mounts. It is figured walnut all over, with lots of inlay of a much lighter wood, that is probably satinwood. The colour & patina of the wood is magnificent. The gilding on the mounts has worn a bit in places, but that just adds more to the character. This cabinet came out of a private estate in Hampstead, London & has only had a gentle polish.
