This high, curved back antique leather armchair has lots of charm & character. The original distressed leather is deep buttoned & in good original condition. The grooved tapered legs, I believe are mahogany. I would say this armchair is Edwardian from around the 1910 period. The high curved back is quite unusual & I think it's influenced by the old porters chairs they used to have in hotel lobbies. These chairs were curved on the backs to stop the draft on the neck & some of them had a canopy on top.
