This small antique French style 'bonheur de jour' is an extremely attractive item & has many lovely features, so please enlarge al of the images. I'm not 100% sure on all the woods, but I think they are Kingwood, Rosewood & Walnut, with satinwood inlay. The gilt metal mounts are well cast & the leather writing surface is original. This desk is in lovely condition, having just been given a polish & I would say it dates from around the 1950's period.
